8/365

Today is Addiction-Free Day.

The Bible has the following to say about the body:
  • 1 Corinthians 3:16 - "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?"
  • 1 Corinthians 6:19 - "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?"
  • 2 Corinthians 6:16 - "What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God."

As a Christian, your body is God's temple. Cut out addictive substances for the day, week, year, the rest of your life, and see how much purer you feel.

I plan to have no Dr. Pepper all week...so far, so good!

Hi!
Would you share what the numbers mean i.e., 8/365, 5/365. I'm assuming the 365 is the year. But what is it you're doing? Just thought it might be something for others to do.
Thanks!

Hello and thanks for your interest! Yes, the 365 stands for the days of a year. The other number stands for which day out of the year I'm on.

I've happened to come across a book called This Book Will Change Your Life by Benrik, and I decided to do as much as possible. The reason some days are skipped is that I refuse to do certain things for moral/ethical reasons.

Hope this helps. Thanks for reading!

Yes, it helps. Thanks! Am going to see about getting the book and plan to go from there. By the by, you have reader(s) from NH. Enjoy reading, what I believe to be, your papers from a class. Interesting for a very new Christian.
